‘𝙋𝙞𝙘𝙤 𝙙𝙚 𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤’ can be translated as “rooster beak”🐓 The origin of that name is uncertain🤷♂️, some say it is because everything is cut into small squares as if it were bitten by a rooster. Or because it "stings" like the rooster. Or simply, the vegetables in this salsa ... they are chopped! The most common variety of this salad is a mixture of tomato🍅, onion and chopped jalapeno peppers, whose colours correspond to the colours of the flag of Mexico

Avocado Salsa
This avocado salsa recipe will challenge your tastebuds to a creamy and smooth that has a good kick. I have used zucchini, also known as courgette, for this recipe as tomatillos are not in season in Australia. They are hard to find too so it is always good to have a substitute for tomatillos.

Habanero Salsa
There is so much that can be done with habanero. Whilst it is a pretty hot chili, it is also a sweet and noble one. During my childhood in Mexico I avoided habanero at all costs. It wasn't until I moved to England in my early twenties when I started trying new foods and spices than I dared to give them a go - a lot of that daring was mainly due to my friends always saying "Oh com'on, you are Mexican! You're supposed to like spicy food". Well, thank you, friends!
